This is a basic Hatha Yoga practice. Through a series of yoga poses you will strengthen muscles, tone and massage internal organs, boost natural immunity and bring balance to the body. Focused breath work enhances circulation and helps cure problems from allergies to bronchitis. Try yoga to balance mind and body.
What is Pilates? Simply put, it’s a physical fitness system developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900’s. Pilates strives to increase efficiency and freedom of movement through a series of mat exercises that are good for every body. The approximately 25 exercises we will practice focus on the core postural muscles that keep the body balanced and centered, and which are essential to providing support to the spine.
One can expect to improve breath patterns, concentration, control, flexibility and balance! In 8 weeks you will feel and see a difference. While our class will be taught at a beginner pace, even seasoned practitioners will be challenged.
Loose, comfortable clothing should be worn (Yoga or gym clothes). Bring a water bottle and a beach towel. (The beach towel can be used as a pillow, or sometimes for extra cushioning under a mat.)
